Product Overview
Rectangular Ferrite Magnets
Rectangular ferrite magnets, also called ferrite block or ceramic magnets, are low-cost, corrosion-resistant permanent magnets made via powder metallurgy, ideal for motors, speakers, magnetic separation, holding tools, sensors and cost-sensitive industrial assemblies.
Manufactured from high-purity ferrite raw materials via dry/wet pressing, high-temperature sintering and precision finishing, rectangular ferrite magnets feature stable magnetic properties, excellent corrosion resistance, weather durability and cost-effective mass production capability. Compared with rare-earth magnets, they deliver outstanding cost performance and reliable service life under conventional operating temperatures.
Ningbo Vanguard Technologies provides a complete range of rectangular ferrite magnets in multiple standard grades and customized sizes. Strict in-process control ensures tight dimensional tolerance and consistent magnetic output for seamless rotor installation and motor assembly. Every piece is inspected through full magnetic performance testing and dimensional checking to guarantee long-term operational stability in various working conditions.
We offer both standard catalogue dimensions and fully customized rectangular profiles, lengths, widths, thicknesses and grades. Fast sample delivery within 10–15 days and stable mass production lead times are available. Our products can be supplied as bare magnets or integrated rotor components, meeting diverse OEM and ODM demands for industrial and commercial motor applications.

Key Applications
Small Industrial Fan Motors
Motors for small industrial exhaust, ventilation and cooling fans. Rectangular ferrite magnets serve as rotors to provide stable power, meet low-power needs, and are easy to assemble with rotor cores, reducing costs.
Workshop/garage magnetic tool holders. Rectangular ferrite magnets adsorb iron tools, save space when wall-mounted, and have moderate magnetic force to keep tools secure
Household Appliance Door Latches
Door latches for refrigerators, freezers and microwave ovens. Rectangular ferrite magnets provide reliable adsorption to keep doors closed, adapt to humid environments, and are easy to install without extra accessories.
Air Conditioner fan Motors
Indoor unit fan motors for household air conditioners, which require rectangular ferrite magnets to ensure quiet operation and long-term stable service life, matching the low-noise and durable use needs of household air conditioning equipment.
Educational & Toy Magnets
Magnets for primary school science kits and educational toys. Small rectangular ferrite magnets are safe, non-toxic, moderately magnetic, and easy to stack/combine for play and learning.
Office Whiteboard Magnets
Whiteboard markers and note holders for offices. Small rectangular ferrite magnets fix notes, photos or markers on whiteboards, easy to move and reuse, with low cost and moderate magnetic force.
Grade & Magnetic Properties
Standard grades for rectangular ferrite magnets. All values at 20 °C. Values are typical; exact grade selection is confirmed per application, working temperature, magnetic circuit, holding force and cost target.

How to Specify Rectangular Ferrite Magnets
Grade Selection
Common grades include Y25, Y30, Y30BH, Y35, Y40 and C5/C8 series. Higher grades are used for stronger flux output, while high-coercivity grades improve demagnetization resistance.
Application Matching
Length, width, thickness, magnetization direction, working gap, steel backing, operating temperature and target pull force should be confirmed together for reliable performance.
Cost-Effective Design
Ferrite blocks are ideal when long service life, corrosion resistance, stable supply and competitive unit cost are more important than rare-earth magnetic strength.
Custom Manufacturing
Available Custom Features
Block, bar, plate, thin slice, square magnet, chamfered block, radius-edge block, hole, slot and step profile.
Speaker, motor, magnetic holder, separator, toy, education kit, latch and sensor assembly.
Thickness, length, width, single-pole pair, multi-pole, matched set and fixture-specific magnetization.
Stable holding force, consistent sensor signal, repeatable motor output and easy assembly identification.
Grinding, chamfering, cleaning, polarity marking, adhesive backing, plastic housing and custom export packing.
Retail products, OEM appliance parts, workshop tools, magnetic fixtures and high-volume industrial supply.
Production Control
Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
Rectangular ferrite magnets are produced from ferrite powder through wet or dry pressing, magnetic-field orientation, high-temperature sintering, slicing or grinding, cleaning, magnetization and final inspection. Stable powder control and tooling consistency are important for repeatable performance in mass production.
Magnetic Inspection
Br, Hcb, Hcj, (BH)max, surface flux, pull force, polarity direction and batch consistency can be tested according to customer specification.
Dimensional Inspection
Length, width, thickness, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, chamfer, hole position and surface condition are checked before packing.
Supply Support
Sample development, pilot production, mass production, magnetic report, dimensional report, RoHS/REACH documents and custom packing are available.
Fast Quotation
Information Needed for Fast Quotation
For faster review, please provide drawing or sample, length, width, thickness, tolerance, grade or target pull force, magnetization direction, coating or marking requirement, working environment, sample quantity and annual volume. If the grade is not fixed, we can recommend a ferrite grade based on performance and cost target.
Frequently Asked Questions
What grades are available for rectangular ferrite magnets?
Common grades include: Y30, Y35, Y40, C5, C8, higher grades provide stronger magnetic performance.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom rectangular magnets?
For custom geometry, samples can be arranged from as few as 50–200 pieces. Mass-production MOQ is typically 1000–10000 pieces per specification, though this is flexible depending on magnet size and grade. Contact us to discuss your project volume.
Can you supply magnets already assembled into a rotor?
Yes. Vanguard provides integrated rotor assembly services — including magnet bonding, balancing, and shaft press-fitting — as part of our Magnetic Systems product line. We can supply bare rectangular magnets or complete rotor sub-assemblies depending on your manufacturing flow.
Do you provide material certifications and test reports?
Full material certificates (chemical composition, magnetic test data) are provided with each shipment as standard. ROHS, REACH, and conflict-mineral declarations are available on request.
What is the lead time for rectangular ferrite magnets?
Prototype samples: 10–15 working days. Mass-production orders: 25–35 working days depending on grade, coating, and quantity. Rush sampling may be available — please inquire.
