Product Overview
Custom Ferrite Magnets
Custom ferrite magnets, also known as custom ceramic magnets, are cost-effective permanent magnet solutions made from strontium ferrite or barium ferrite powder through pressing, sintering, grinding and magnetization. They are widely used when a project requires stable magnetic performance, excellent corrosion resistance, strong weather durability and reliable high-volume supply at a competitive cost.
Unlike rare-earth magnets, ferrite magnets have lower magnetic strength but offer excellent price stability, good electrical insulation, strong resistance to humidity and long service life without protective coating in most environments. This makes them suitable for motors, speakers, sensors, magnetic separators, holding devices, toys, educational products, household appliances and general industrial assemblies.
Ningbo Vanguard Technologies supplies custom ferrite magnets in arc, block, rectangular, cylinder, disc, ring, segment and special-shaped designs. We support drawing review, grade recommendation, tooling development, sample production, magnetization fixture design, dimensional inspection and mass-production quality control.
Whether you need bare magnets, magnetized parts, polarity-marked sets, bonded assemblies or packed-by-pole components, Vanguard can provide sample delivery within 10–15 days after specification confirmation and stable mass-production support for OEM and ODM projects.

Dimension Capability
Custom ferrite magnets can be produced as blocks, discs, cylinders, rings, arcs, tiles, segments and special profiles. Standard tolerance is typically ±0.10 mm for common dimensions; tighter tolerances, matched sets, chamfers, holes, slots and polarity marking can be reviewed according to drawings.

How to Specify Custom Ferrite Magnets
Grade Selection
Common grades include Y25, Y30, Y30BH, Y35, Y40 and C5/C8 series. We recommend grades based on flux output, pull force, working gap, demagnetization risk and cost target.
Shape & Tolerance
Drawing review covers critical dimensions, tolerance, chamfer, hole, flatness, radius, concentricity, matching set and assembly method.
Magnetization Direction
Axial, diametrical, radial, thickness direction, paired polarity and custom fixture magnetization can be supplied according to product function.
Custom Manufacturing
Available Custom Features
Block, disc, cylinder, ring, arc, segment, tile, wedge, hole, slot, chamfer and special profile.
Motor, speaker, holder, separator, toy, sensor and appliance assembly.
Grinding, slicing, chamfering, cleaning, polarity marking, sorting, adhesive backing and special packing.
Automated assembly, retail sets, export packing and high-volume OEM supply.
Matched magnet sets, rotor bonding, magnetic holder assembly, plastic housing and packed-by-pole direction.
Reducing customer assembly steps and improving production consistency.
Production Control
Manufacturing & Quality Assurance
Custom ferrite magnets are produced from ferrite powder through wet or dry pressing, magnetic-field orientation, high-temperature sintering, slicing or grinding, cleaning, magnetization and final inspection. Stable tooling, powder control and inspection standards are essential for consistent dimensions and magnetic output.
Magnetic Inspection
Br, Hcb, Hcj, (BH)max, surface flux, pull force, polarity direction and batch consistency can be checked according to customer specification.
Dimensional Inspection
Critical dimensions, tolerance, chamfer, hole, flatness, concentricity, angle, surface condition and matched-set consistency are inspected before shipment.
Supply Support
Sample development, pilot production, mass production, magnetic report, dimensional report, RoHS/REACH documents and custom packing are available.
Fast Quotation
Information Needed for Fast Quotation
For faster review, please provide drawing or sample, shape, dimensions, tolerance, grade or target surface flux, magnetization direction, pull force requirement, working environment, sample quantity and annual volume. If the grade is not fixed, we can recommend a ferrite grade based on performance and cost target.
Frequently Asked Questions
What shapes can you customize for ferrite magnets?
We can customize blocks, discs, cylinders, rings, arcs, segments, tiles, wedges and special profiles with chamfers, holes, slots or polarity marking.
What grades are available for custom ferrite magnets?
Common grades include Y25, Y30, Y30BH, Y35, Y40, C5 and C8. Grade selection depends on required flux output, pull force, working gap and cost target.
Do ferrite magnets require coating?
Usually no coating is required because ferrite magnets have excellent corrosion resistance. Optional coating, marking, adhesive backing or housing assembly can be discussed for special applications.
Can you support prototype samples before mass production?
Yes. Samples can be arranged after drawing and grade confirmation. For new tooling, prototype timing depends on mold complexity and finishing requirements.
What is the lead time for custom ferrite magnets?
Prototype samples are typically 10–15 working days after specification confirmation. Mass-production orders are usually 25–35 working days depending on grade, size, tooling, finishing and quantity.
